Chelated Iron DTPA Fertilizer
Chelated Iron DTPA 11% is a 100% water-soluble iron fertilizer that corrects iron chlorosis in neutral to moderately alkaline conditions. Its guaranteed analysis is 11% iron held as a DTPA chelate, which keeps the iron plant-available up to roughly pH 7.5 — past the point where standard EDTA iron chelates begin to lose effectiveness.
Iron deficiency is usually caused by soil pH locking up iron rather than a true shortage, and it shows as interveinal yellowing on the youngest leaves first. DTPA's stronger hold makes this product a practical choice for neutral-to-alkaline soils, alkaline or bicarbonate-rich irrigation water, and situations where an EDTA-based iron has failed. It dissolves completely with no residue for soil drench, foliar spray, hydroponic, and aquaponic use.
Confirm the deficiency and check pH before applying, since a chelate corrects iron availability but does not lower soil or water pH. Fe-DTPA breaks down under UV light, so keep reservoirs shaded. For foliar use, spray in early morning or late afternoon, and do not exceed recommended rates — excess iron can interfere with manganese and zinc uptake.
