Introducing Tore Natural!
Tore is a meticulous washing station located in the village of Torea in Yirgacheffe, benefiting from near‑ideal coffee‑growing conditions: temperatures between 23–28°C and annual rainfall of 1795–2150 mm. Harvest typically runs from October through January.

Producers in this region farm on very small plots, often growing multiple crops. During harvest, they deliver ripe coffee cherries to the Tore washing station, where the cherries are sorted, weighed, and either paid for immediately or logged for later payment. The station then processes the coffee—washed or natural—and dries it on raised beds.

Washing stations like Tore may serve several hundred to over a thousand smallholder farmers throughout the season. Because cherries from many producers are blended into day lots, traceability to individual farmers is rarely possible. However, we work closely with export partners to source from the same washing stations each year, maintaining consistency and strengthening relationships at origin.
