Organic Bone Meal Fertilizer 3-15-0

Organic Bone Meal 3-15-0 is a steam-processed bovine bone meal soil amendment supplying 15% available phosphate (P₂O₅) and 24% calcium — one of the highest organic calcium concentrations in a single amendment — plus a small amount of slow nitrogen.

Phosphorus drives root development, flowering, and fruit set, and in bone meal it is released gradually over roughly 3 to 4 months as soil microbes break down the bone matrix — a sustained curve rather than the spike-and-tail of fast-release synthetic phosphates, with low burn risk when used as directed. The 24% calcium supports cell-wall strength and root development. Bone meal is a go-to amendment for flowering bulbs, transplants, root crops, fruiting vegetables, roses, and fruit trees, worked into the soil at planting.

It is a soil amendment, not a water-soluble product — it cannot be used in hydroponic systems or as a foliar spray, and it performs best in soils at or below pH 7.0 with active microbial life; above roughly pH 7.5 phosphate availability drops. Because the 24% calcium is alkaline, it is not suited to acid-loving plants such as azaleas, rhododendrons, and blueberries. Always incorporate it into the soil rather than leaving it on the surface, and store sealed and dry.
