Sodium Molybdate

Sodium Molybdate 39% Mo is a single-ingredient, 100% water-soluble micronutrient fertilizer that corrects molybdenum deficiency in plants. Molybdenum is an essential trace nutrient and the metal cofactor for two key enzymes: nitrate reductase, which lets plants convert nitrate into proteins, and nitrogenase, which lets legume root nodules fix atmospheric nitrogen.

When molybdenum is short, plants can show symptoms that resemble nitrogen deficiency even when nitrogen is abundant, and legumes may nodulate poorly despite good inoculation. At 39% molybdenum by weight, only ounces per acre are typically needed, and the same product works as a legume seed treatment, foliar spray, soil application, or hydroponic supplement.

Because molybdenum availability drops sharply in acid soils, confirm the need with a soil or tissue test before applying — in moderately acidic soils, liming can sometimes resolve the deficiency on its own. Always follow recommended rates: excess molybdenum in forage can be harmful to grazing cattle and sheep, so do not apply to pasture without baseline forage testing.
